Twenty control-line fliers plus family, friends and spectators showed up for the third stop on the Oregon Flying Fun series at the flying field just outside the Salem Airport terminal. Reports of the impending loss of the Salem site have proven to be untrue for the time being.

The Western Oregon Control-Line Flyers (WOLF) and Eugene Prop Spinners jointly hosted Oregon Flying Fun No. 3 on a day when the sun shone and there was only a slight breeze. Many flights were made by all kinds of control-line airplanes. WOLF Chef Mike Hazel cooked up a fine hot dog barbecue, and the sponsoring clubs offered a generous array of door prizes.
