Because of declining participation in racing at the Fireballs' annual After-Thanksgiving Race contest, we decided to hold a fun fly so that more people could join in.

We flew High/Low in two line lengths and Spot Landing. 

Fourteen people attended and eight flew in the contest.

Spot Landing was more difficult than it looked. Eight people signed up and only three people scored. Dave Baxter was first with a 9, Leighton Mangels was second with an 8 and Jim Cameron was third with a 6.

Only Alan Stewart flew in the High/Low 54-50 foot class. He had a best differential time of 22.22 seconds.

The High/Low 62-58 foot class was better attended with five people. Four were able to attempt the High speed portion, but only two were successful at completing the low speed flight. Jess Walls was first after a great slow speed time. His differential time was 51.17 seconds. Tim Wescott was the only other one to finish a slow speed flight and took second place. His differential time was 2.75 seconds.

The weather was a great day for flying. A number of people brought food and coffee.
